Many of the Scottish papers report on highers taxes on oil company profits unveiled in the Pre-Budget Report.
Gordon Brown is accused of raiding North Sea oil companies in The Herald and The Press and Journal.
It is suggested that the chancellor has imposed the tax rise on North Sea oil and gas to offset the effects of a slowdown in the economy, provoking fury from the industry and Scottish politicians.
North Sea companies have warned of oil rig and refinery closures, according to The Scotsman
The Scottish Daily Mail writes about the new civil partnership law and says "the most eminent family law judge" has accused Labour of undermining the institution of marriage.
Paul Gascoigne's sacking from Kettering Town amid claims he turned up drunk for matches is covered by The Scottish Sun and the Daily Record.
The Scottish Daily Mirror says Gascoigne's boss accused him of "37 alcohol-related incidents in 39 days".
The Scottish Daily Express turns its attention to a school which it says has banned pupils from wearing a crucifix but allows Sikhs to wear religious jewellery.
