I'm trying to get my head round the dative case - is it only used after prepositions (anns an fheur, leis a' bhalach etc), or are there any other, em.. cases in which it's used. I read something the other day which seemed to imply there were more uses.
I have my anorak on, with the hood up..

| AFAIK, it's only used wrt prepositions and is often referred to as the prepositional rather than dative case. Maybe there were other historical uses that aren't in modern usage. |
