SNP will 'fight' bank note reform
Nationalists have vowed to "fight tooth and nail" the chancellor's plans to reform the way in which Scottish bank notes are issued.
The SNP claimed new rules outlined in a Treasury consultation would cost Scottish banks £80m a year.
It could also put an end to the distinctive design and denomination of Scottish bank notes, the party said.
The Treasury believes Scottish banks which issue their own notes are at an advantage over their rivals.

Typical bullshit - Scottish business suffers as usual....
As for the £80m cost...that will be "negligible" as far as the government are concerned
Its a nonsense for sure...Id like to know who WE pay (and I mean WE pay at OUR expense) to dream up this crap as NHS Q's get longer and pensioners die of the cold, bird disease is on the horizon and so many other IMPORTANT issues arise..... _________________ SNP x 3 .... 3rd May 2007 |
