Just wait until they're old enough to start their own families - you'll need to develop a complex rota system for where you go at Christmas. Or book an entire hotel for everyone.

Or you could let them sort out their own Christmas and swan off to Barbados. Wink

LOL Neil yeh I was thinking that myself!!

Macnumpty I quite like the idea of Barbados I'd need to cruise (need to find a man with money), I hate flying, used to do it as a kid, and refuse to do it now.

C'mon we need to speed up the process, we're going at a snail's pace!

A cruise to Barbados eh? How long would that take? I've never been on a cruise, I wouldn't mind one where you're going port to port short distance, but a long time in open water would get a bit boring no?

SLG

Hopefully it takes weeks, obviously they'll be ports of call on the way, I don't know what the longest stretch would be with no land. I'm sure there will be plenty of entertainment on board Very Happy

One can only dream Very Happy

Hmmm, I'm not sure about cruise-liner entertainment. Who was that woman on some reality tv program who went on to become a singer on a cruise-liner? Not really my sort of thing. I'm glad I don't have any problem flying Wink

Jane McDonald I think.

Ok what's everyone's favourite holiday..........

I've travelled to various country when an army brat, my favourite place we stayed was Berlin, next on my list was a place in South Wales called Cwrt-y-Gollen between Abergavenny and Crickhowell.

Favourite holiday was Rose Cottage at Lochcarron, the surrounding scenery is amazing. Favourite holiday for the kids was Disneyland Paris.

Can't afford any holidays now Crying or Very sad

Dream holiday would be a cruise Wink

this is going to sound bit sad seeing I'm off round the world in a couple of weeks, but I absolutely love going to Arran - a 20 min drive and 30 min ferry trip from my house. Smile

A weekend in Arran during the summer is bliss!

I've never been to Arran, I think I've seen it from Clachan, Mull of Kintyre (If my geography is correct), Clachan, was a guid yin, sweet little chickens coming into the caravan in the mornings. We went across to Ghia, it was beautiful. I didn't think much of Campletown.

What countries are you hitting on your trip?

...6 months.

I'll be slumming it, that's for sure - but I'm sure it won't matter where I sleep when I see the places I'm going to see.

Azzuri, I take it you'll be taking a digital camera and posting some photos up here?

...well, that's the plan. As long as I don't get my camara stolen and I can get new memory cards while I'm out there then I'm sure I'll be taking hundreds of photos!

Get yer printer workin, and get us a couple of "Our Scotland" printed on whatever you can find and get then in front of something historic. Sellotape or bluetac man... It'll pin it on good.

Seriously...
