"...rebuild Hadrian's wall." - Why not?
Seems a good idea to me - but first we must of course ask our cousins 'fae the sooth' whether they would like to stay inside murderous Scotland or rather go back home, 'cause once they're locked in here... PDT_Aliboronz_14
On a more serious note - where people are deprived of their language, their pride, their work and a decent home as well as income, tensions do build up...and being governed by a foreign power doesn't help to restore faith in one's own nation. How would 'Sasunn' like it to be ruled by, say, Germany??? (well, they could at least learn a thing or two if they were; like how to kit out every home with a decent shower unit and mixer taps PDT_Aliboronz_20, or how to brew beer properly... PDT_Aliboronz_24 )

Absolutely disgusting. Why would they print such trash?

.....because it sells.

and there it a growing resentment of scots in middle england - because of what the English see as the 'Scottish Raj' in government ruling over their country.

Not really.

Although that is certainly a factor in the growing resentment.

Almost all of the government is seen as being run by Scots - this is what I mean by 'Scottish Raj'.

And it is the reason why I doubt that Gordon Brown will ever get elected as UK prime minster in a general election. Although he has been playing the 'we're all British' card very strongly recently - esp at the last Labour conference.

I think you're right SLG - but I don't think that's a particularly bad thing for the cause.

I can't wait until the tories get back into power in Westminster - hopefully people will see Independence as a more valid solution to the country's problems than the policies that will be implemented by a conservative government.
