| In reply to Lothian Sky, George Bush is out there in many forms. The world needs viable, practical ideas about saving this planet. We need them NOW!!! |

I'm concerned BroniaM. The best solution IMO is the Green mantra of 'think global act local'. You got any ideas yourself? |

Look, folks - I realize the U.S. and its President are unpopular, perhaps even despised right now. I can understand why, and I appreciate your frankness.
But please don't hang everything on George Bush as if all the world's problems (past, present, and future) are singularly his fault. We seem to live in a world of "scapegoating" and therefore it's important to think about important subjects like environmentalism in a positive and holistic way.
And how would you feel if the President actually were assissinated? (That's happened several times in the U.S.) I will give you the benefit of the doubt and say that although you might be relieved to be rid of someone you see as detrimental, you'd regret the pain of his family, at least.
As you've all seen by my previous postings, I'm not afraid of vigorous discussion. But I think that blaming everything on one person (or country) you dislike is non-productive. _________________ "Qui tacit consentire." Silence gives consent. |
