Well the key with this march seems to be inclusivity. I1st have tried to get all the interested parties involved and have tried to get non-political general public interested. I can't see Bannockburn ever being that kind of a march again. There won't be thousands at this march but if it's a series of marches then it could grow into that.

Kenny I don't think we could ever take Bannockburn's place, i don't think one single party should have exclusive rights to it either and if anything would prefer a multi organisation approach to Bannockburn to make it bigger and better than ever before. Bannockburn should belong to the people and not the SNP.

I'll probably get hung drawn and quartered for that! Very Happy

SLG providing we get it right tomorrow I've every confidence that these marches will grow in numbers. Once it's over I can get back to some sense of normality until the next march hopefully in the spring Smile

I'll second that Rinty.

I know you want to catch your breath first Carol, but is there another march proposed just before the elections. It could be quite beneficial.

Dave glad you enjoyed it thankfully the weather was on our side. I also think there's room to improve on the next one.

Very pleased to hear that the March went well and had a good attendance! Thanks for the links so that those of us over the pond can get a sense of what happened. You've done some important work here!

And maybe I should help BG buy the drinks. Cheers! Very Happy

http://www.sluggerotoole.com/inde...ttish_tory_goes_for_independence/

Scottish Tory goes for independence

A former Scottish Conservative candidate and Unionist historian, Michael Fry, has announced his support for the Scottish independence. However, the reason for his conversion is that devolution has failed to deliver:

“Devolution has proved to be completely hopeless, if anything making Scotland a worse country rather than a better country.”

Are the cheerleaders of devolution here over-hyping what it can deliver? What are the lessons that can be learned from the Scottish parliament for pro-devolutionists here?

I'd like to thank everyone who participated in the march and rally. It was a really good day and I think we did something significant.

I especially want to thank everyone from who Our Scotland who contributed.

Thank you.
