Home favourite Gary McDonald set Scotland Future on the way to victory at Kilmarnock's Rugby Park against World Cup-preparing Poland.
Adam Virgo had struck a clearance against his own post before McDonald headed home a Gary Teale cross.
And half-time substitute Lee Miller added the second when he chipped goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski shortly after the break.
Striker Kris Boyd missed a couple of chances in front of his home fans.
World Cup-bound Poland had started brightly and tested Celtic goalkeeper David Marshall early on.
Pawel Brozek let fly with a firm right-foot shot from 25 yards that the youngster saved comfortably.
Nick Montgomery brought Fabianski into action in the 13th minute.
The Sheffield United midfielder burst away from his marker and sent a powerful low left-foot shot towards the bottom corner.
But the Poland goalkeeper threw himself to his right to push it around the post.
Virgo almost embarrassed himself by putting the ball into his own net in the 18th minute.
Ireneusz Jelen whipped the ball across goal, but the Celtic defender fired it against the post when he should have steered it wide.
Marshall then rescued his side, when Marcin Kus picked out Pawel Magdon in the area, but the goalkeeper did well to save his header.
McDonald almost scored in front of his own fans when he controlled the ball and struck a goalbound right-foot shot that Fabianski had to tip around the post.
But the Kilmarnock player did score from the resulting corner, when Teale's cross skimmed off the head of a Polish player and McDonald headed home from close range.
Brozec should have brought the scores level moments later, but he launched his right-foot shot into the empty seating behind the goal.
It took just two minutes for Scotland to double their lead after the break, when Kris Boyd dummied Teale's cross and Miller steered the ball past Fabianski from eight yards.
Boyd looked like scoring when Garry Hay picked him out, only for his header to hit Magdon on the back.
The Kilmarnock striker failed to deliver the goal the fans craved by blasting a right-foot shot into the sidenetting from 17 yards late on, but the Scots had done enough to impress boss Walter Smith.

Great result. I bet Poland are a not bad team, if their 1st team is anything to go by.
The under 19's also beat Portugal 2-1 this week.
Things definitely seem to be picking up a wee bit for the national setup. |
