I can't believe people seriously believe this sort of thing.
Jacobitism is dead. King James was validly removed by Parliament, which has more authority to choose the head of state than someone who claims to have been chosen by God. |

But how valid was that parliament? You could say that the old English parliament might have removed him from the English throne, but the authority of the parliament to decide the Scottish crown is questionable. |

Ooh, a “Confederate Heritage Movement in America”? Hmmmmm. What's that all about, then? It sounds strangely irrelevant to Scotland.

| If it was a site for all scots nationalists or people with a history or interest in the history of Scotland then it would be interesting. But seen as snamountain labels it for "all jacobites" that would leave me and every other republican out of the equation. |

ScotWatch is made up of Confederate Heritage supporters and Scotch-Irish in America as well as by Scottish Republicans and others in Scotland who support freedom, both groups have equal access to posting and the moderators are Barry Smith in Edinburgh and Dr Christopher Cummings of Tennessee as well as myself. BPC Patriotic Alliance wasn't really created as a place to seek Jacobites but rather as a place where the Jacobites from Countag7, SnG, Tartans etc could gather to work over differences (especially the three Countag7 factions) and plan strategy , I created a similar splintergroup for the members of ScotWatch called "Iraq disagreement group" where the ScotWatch members can go and battle with one another over war issues instead of having it out on the main group in front of everyone. ScotWatch could very well be the only place in Cyberspace where League of the South members and Scottish Socialists co-exist and assist one another with petitions, letter writing campaigns etc.
