Hmm... I don't really think that is has damaged the Lib Dems that much. Even less in Scotland. _________________ The resident pantomime villain.

it'll all be forgotten by the next round of elections.........politics changes at a rapid pace.
I think David Cameron will do more damage to the Lib Dems at the next election than these allegations ever could. _________________ "Every single person on this planet is unique. Just like everyone else..." - Random Guy in Edinburgh Pub

I think the Lib Dems have fallen in the polls quite drastically after the last few weeks. They will recover most of the ground though, but maybe not all. I would think the effect will be less pronounced in the Holyrood elections.
I expect it will have an effect on the Dunfermline by-election coming up. And they seem to acknowlege this themselves.

SENIOR SCOTTISH Liberal Democrats do not believe their party has any chance of winning the Dunfermline and West Fife by-election, The Courier can exclusively reveal.
Leaked minutes of a top-level Westminster meeting of MPs make it clear their aim is to beat the SNP rather than topple Labour. |
