Hendry resigns as Clyde manager
Colin Hendry has resigned as manager of Clyde with immediate effect.
A club statement said: "Clyde Football Club regrets to announce the resignation of Colin Hendry on compassionate grounds.
"We wish to place on record our gratitude to Colin for his outstanding loyalty and contribution, and wish him and his family well in the future."
Dougie Bell takes charge for Saturday's match at home to Dundee, but the game is doubtful due to a flooded pitch.
Former Rangers coach John Brown and current Clyde youth team coach Gary Bollan are among the early candidates to take over.
Hendry, who captained the Scots in the 1998 World Cup finals in France, arrived at Clyde in the close season, relishing the prospect of a return to club management in Scotland.
However he now departs with the Bully Wee currently ninth in Division One.
Hendry's last game in charge was the 1-0 Scottish Cup fourth-round defeat at home to Dundee United on 16 January.
