I'm very fond of Fiorentina having spent a lot of time in Firenze. I consider them my 'other team' and have done ever since I was a young guy watching Serie A on Football Italia, so hope they pump Rangers out.

They have done well to get this far and I suppose it helps Scotland's European co-efficient. _________________ Visit the Our Scotland Blog at http://our-scotland.blogspot.com/ |

It's a fantastic run for Rangers and for Scottish football. We were in danger of slipping in the co-efficient this season as it is based on the last five seasons and the one that would 'drop out' will be the season that Celtic reached the UEFA final. Rangers run, Celtic's run in the CL and Aberdeen reaching the UEFA groups means that we have a better total coefficient than 02-03.
It's not that long ago since we couldnt get a team past qualifyig rounds, now we have 2 teams in the CL groups and Rangers and Celtic have both reached the last 16 of the CL and the later stages of the UEFA cup in recent seasons.
Fiorentina look like a better proposition than the teams Rangers have played so far in this cup, but if they can get a result in the home leg they have every chance. |

i think they could do it. But it all rests on the game in Glasgow. Would be good for the Scottish game if they progressed but personally i dont really mind either way _________________ "An oppressive government is to be more feared than a tiger" |
