Anyone got green fingers  Wink

I like my plant life  Wink don't think they like me  Crying or Very sad

so if there's any Bill and Ben's out there I need advice  Wink

1.  I've a bay tree which I brought indoors, the stem/trunk?  Rolling Eyes looks healthy, but like BA the leaves are a bit dry and crumpled looking.  Is this normal at this time of the year?

2.  I've a christmas planter, had nice white flowers (that died on me  Crying or Very sad ) and what I'd thought was a mini artificial xmas tree  Wink til I was watering it one day and discovered it had roots  Rolling Eyes alongside cascading ivy  Wink both the tree and ivy's looking a bit brown in places  Rolling Eyes anything I can do to liven them up  Wink

3.  Also I've a bonsai tree with branches and no leaves  Rolling Eyes is this normal?

4.  Good news though, I've 5 herb plants on the kitchen window that appear to be thriving  Wink

Any advice would be appreciated  Wink

Get yourself a Triffidus Celestiis.  It doesn't need much and the end result will be very pleasant for your fellow posters.

Na, I don't think I want to be consumed by no plant, thanks all the same. Bet you threaten Baldrick with your greenhouse all the time.

Not really. Badrick looks after the plants very well because he's allowed to eat the greenflies, midges and other pests .... like you and Carol!

Is he using the kiss of life?

I used to have lots of cacti. But while I was in hospital after the events of the last year, Baldrick managed to get in and water them ... daily! I now no longer have plants in the mansion.  Sad

But my foreign staff have indicated they would like to introduce some floral ideas and two of them used to tend the parklands of Belgrade.  So I'm letting them take over that aspect of maintenance ... on condition that I allow them a 2 week holiday in August ... and I confine Baldrick to the cellars.

Seems like a fair trade to me.  Though how they're going to afford it on what I pay them, I don't know!

Have you thought about writing to Gardener's Question Time??  Quickly ... because it sounds like your green fingers are turning a healthy pink again.

Apart from your terrible usage of the "you're" word ... threats like that don't work with me, madam ... and I use that word a great deal of cynicism.
