Would you be happy if a Rangers player wore a t-shirt with God Save the Queen or possibly an Orange Sash in the next Old Firm match?

After all, whats good for the goose is good for the gander and all that.

as a rangers fan i would be mortified bacuase
1. he knuckdraggers in our support would lap it up.
2. a rangers players had stooped to borats infantile level.
3. just plain embaressing and not what the club or it's normal fans are about.
4. i would hope the sfa/spl/uefa would take acion so as to act as a prevention for further acts of stupidity.

however, on the plus side if it did happen..................................

parkheed b(bigot)fb would actually self combust in puff of grey and geen hooped smoke and hell would be one flute player better off.

Oh Parkie, Parkie, Parkie, are you really that stupid? Or is it that you have increadibly blinkered vision when it comes to Boruc? Do you not realise that at this moment in time you are trying to defend the indefensible?

Look at my very first post on this subject, it's not that far back. Here is what I said:

Quote:
While it says a lot about people who would get offended by a t-shirt of the Pope, it's clear Boruc was trying to antagonise the Rangers support as much as possible.

Now I know you can read and I make it quite clear that I have no time AT ALL for people who choose to be offended by a man that croses himself of simply is a Catholic.

However Boruc clearly was not simply "being a Catholic" here, he uses his denomination in 4 games a year - when Celtic play against Rangers in order to wind up the opposition fans. He whores his religion by making gestures such as wearing a t-shirt cheapeining the image of a dead Pope.

Why does he not behave like this when Celtic play the likes of Motherwell? If you are a devout follower of a religion you celebrate that religion 24 hours a Day, 7 days a week. If his way of doing this is genuinly to wear a cheapo t-shirt then why not after they beat St Mirren or Inverness Calley Thistle or Gretna?

It's not his love of his religion that leads to this behaviour it's the fact he's a tosser of the highest order who will use what ever he can to get some attention. It's purely coincidental that in this context it's of the head of the Catholic Church. If I was the Head of the Catholic Church in Scotland I'd be disgusted by a fellow Catholic for using the sacred image of a dead Pope purely for this purpose.

Quote:
care to explain also why there was no fuss when he wore a pope t shirt during his countrys national anthem when representing poland (he actually had the shirt on on top of his poland shirt.

I can only take your word that this happened. But assuming it's true as you tell it do you think for a minute this may of happened soon after Pope John Paul the 2nd died? Poland being his homeland and all. Would make sense don't you think? What was so significant about last Sunday on Celtic Park after beating Rangers for him to do this?

F All, other than it was a great way in his tiny little mind to create some trouble and attention for himself yet again.

Quote:
you have already said he would only have worn against rangers mind you so you have already shown you dont actually know what your talking about.

Huh? It's explained myself as clear as is possible. It's you that just wants to defend him at all costs, comments such as

Quote:
we really should just introduce a law in this country about being openly catholic and have done with.

make you look a little soft in the head to be completly honest. Likewise when it's ok for you to make comments such as:

Quote:
by the way what t shirt sparked off the other murders of celtic fans in recent years?

But when someone else points out that people also get attacked for being or appearing to be Rangers fans you respond with this little gem:

Quote:
these things happened long, long before arthur boruc ever joined celtic.

Which proves if ever any proof was needed that you've created one little rule for anything you like and another for anything else. One is right in your eyes and this other can be ignored despite there being no difference. Lovely!

so its ok for him to do it for poland as he's a great figure in poland.  he is then abused, subjected to banners about a man so respected in his country that he wears a t shirt to show their abuse makes no difference to him and he's proud to be catholic....and he's in the wrong?

Parkie again (delibretly I'm sure) you miss the point.

Pope John Paul the 2nd was Polish, Poland is proably the most devout Catholic country in Europe. He'd just died. Had Boruc worn this t-shirt in a Celtic Rangers match soon after the Pope died, or even had it been on the anniversary death your argument that he was simply doing it for being proud or what ever would hold a little bit of water and credibility. However it's pretty clear that the intentions in a Polish International match and the intentions here are two very different things.

Sometimes it's best the stay quiet and look stupid and say something and remove all doubt of your stupidity Parkie.  Wink

i bet you give yourself a hard on dont you?

you seem to think your incredibly clever and everyone else is stupid when they disagree with you.  as i have said before just saying something and it being true are actually two very different things.

you already stated he wouldnt have done it in any other game i though knew better and infomred you he did do it in another game......it must be embarrasing to be corrected by a stupid person eh  Wink

Hmmm, so this is the level you're working at. Riiiiiight, that explains so many things Parkie. Have fun thinking of cocks, I just tend to think you are one.

No, I don't think I'm increadibly clever actually, I just happen to think I'm clearly enjoying a lot more sense than you judging by the s***e you spout constantly on this site. As for you having said that to me, no you haven't. So what you're saying is that you will say things from time to time that aren't actually true? Riiiiight, that too explains a lot of things about you.

Quote:

No Parkie, what you said straight away was that he did it in a Polish International Match during the anthems. What I said was that he wouldn't do it in a game against St Mirren, Inverness Caley etc. It would help Parkie if you actually knew what it was you said. It was only then you came out with "didn't he do it against Motherwell....." I don't know did he? Funny how many sports journalists like Tam Cowan don't know about that one eh? For a second I'll assume you know more than him. So in a game against Motherwell that had they won they'd have won the league he wore a Pope T-shirt. Now, who would that be aimed at winding up bareing in mind the huge Scottish media coverage of that game Rangers do you think?

Did I say it would? Religious and Political (and I would say the Old Firm is one of those rare examples where Politics and Religion intertwine) are banned from football. A good thing in my opinion. I'm sad to hear you saying you wouldn't care. Personally, being of relatively sound mind I'd hate the idea of any tosser, be it Boruc of Ferguson using religion to piss off others. Religion is a personal thing. Shame idiots a bit like you seem to like using religon as a means of antagonising people. A bit pathetic really.
