I visit a Sheriffs Court recently[as a spectator].
What is the coat of arms on the court wall.It has the Scottish and English flag on it,but no mention of the Welsh or Irish

Well gee, could you maybe help us out with a picture?

If it's the one which looks like this...
it's the Royal coat of arms, and it contains a reference to Ireland, which is depicted by a harp in one of the quarters of the shield. Wales doesn't exist because any ful knoe it is part of England.

If you have issues with the design, take it up with HM Queen Elizabeth as it is her coat of arms and, I presume, she approves of it.

It is HM's Royal Arms as used in Scotland.

On Buckingham Palace and all other usage in England. The English lions are quatered in the top left and bottom right quadrants where the Rampant Lions resides in the Scottish version.

Any clearer?
