I suppose "weather" is a "life" topic. I have a question, please. Has Scotland's weather been warmer than usual this winter? And, is there a jet stream across your part of the globe? I am only familiar with one jet stream - ours in North America. Was just wondering about that.

Thanks. Hazel

If the skiing industry is to be believed (what's left of it anyway), we've been getting less snow the last few years. I'm not sure if I feel it any warmer though. I'm sure there are official stats out there somewhere.

That was part of my thought. We have certainly been shorted on snow this year. Not that we ever get much in Mid-America but we do get more than this year - so far. And, only one brief deep freeze. If we do not get a good deep-freeze or two each winter, the pesky insects are totally out of control come summer.

Thanks again. Hazel
